Field Work on the 11200-11300 Block of Chalon RoadSummaryAs part of the environmental review process for the Sepulveda Transit Corridor Project, Metro’s subcontractor, WSP/Kleinfelder, will perform geotechnical boring field work to gather information on existing soil and rock conditions on the 11200-11300 block of northbound Chalon Road.What to ExpectWork began Tuesday, January 17, 2023 and will continue for approximately 8 weeks. Field equipment includes a drill rig truck (pictured), two crew trucks and a geotechnical equipment van. Work activities include bore drilling, installation of groundwater pressure sensors, water pressure testing, cement backfill and hauling of spoils.Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.Lane Closures: Chalon Road will be reduced to one lane of thru traffic at the 11200-11300 block during this activity. Flaggers will be present to safely allow thru traffic to pass by the work area. Street parking on the 11200-11300 block of Chalon Road will be restricted during work hours.Field work activities are fully permitted through the City of Los Angeles.
