Denker Av Intersection Improvement Work

Summary

The contractor is currently reconstructing the intersection of Denker Av and Slauson Av as part of the Rail-to-Rail Active Transportation Corridor (ATC) Project. This work is expected to continue through October 11, 2024. 

The Rail-to-Rail ATC Project aims to enhance transportation options for residents by improving facilities for biking and walking along the corridor and upgrading access to transit stations. 

What: 

The contractor will begin improvements to the street, sidewalk, crosswalk, traffic signals, and streetlights on the south side of the Denker Av and Slauson Av intersection. 

Where:

>    At the intersection of Denker and Slauson Av.  

When:  

>    Work is scheduled to start as early as September 6, 2024, and will continue through October 11, 2024.  

>    Construction will take place Monday to Saturday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with night work if necessary and weather permitting. 

What to Expect:


>    Street Closures: The south side of Denker Avenue, from Slauson Avenue to W 57th Place, will be closed 24/7 for approximately six weeks.
>    Noise and Dust Control: Measures will be implemented to minimize noise and dust. Night work, if required, will be conducted in accordance with allowable noise levels. Construction night work, if needed, will be minimized and within allowable noise levels.  

 

Noteworthy: 

>    All necessary permits and approvals from the City of Los Angeles will be obtained before starting work.
>    Emergency vehicles access will be maintained.
>    Pedestrian access will be preserved outside the construction area.
>    Access to business/residential driveways within the work zone will be maintained.
>    Please note that construction schedules and details are subject to change.
