A Line Service Impacts between Monrovia and APU/Citrus College Stations

Rail Service Interruption and Free Bus Shuttle Replacement (Rescheduled Dates)

Metro and contractors have begun work to connect the new rail extension and rail testing from Metro A Line APU/Citrus College Station to Pomona as part of the Foothill Extension Project to Pomona. 

This work requires a 54-hour weekend interruption of rail service between Monrovia Station and APU/Citrus College Station. The work started on October 18, 2024 and continues through consecutive weekends.

Due to this work, free bus shuttles, Metro A Line Shuttle 851, will replace rail service and take passengers every 10-20 mins between five (5) stations: 
  • Monrovia
  • Duarte/City of Hope
  • Irwindale
  • Azusa Downtown
  • APU/Citrus College

What to Expect

Passengers can follow the temporary signs for directions. Train service will continue to run northbound and southbound throughout the line.

Local access, Pedestrian Access, and Emergency Responder Access is maintained during work activities.
