Southbound Closure of Avenue of the Stars 

Summary 

The contractor will be implementing a full closure on southbound Avenue of the Stars at Santa Monica Bl to Constellation Bl to support the progress of street restoration work.  This restoration work activity will require the full closure of the southbound lanes to complete the backfill and paving around the permanent storm drain manholes on southbound Avenue of the Stars. The closure will be implemented on Wednesday July 10th at 10PM through Thursday July 11th at 6AM.   

When 

Work hours:  

  • Starting Wednesday July 10th at 10PM through Thursday July 11th at 6AM.   

Traffic Control: 

  • Southbound Avenue of the Stars will be fully closed from Santa Monica Bl to Constellation Bl.  

  • Egress from the driveways on the west side of Avenue of the Stars will be accessible. 

  • Left turns will be restricted from northbound Ave of the Stars onto westbound Constellation Blvd.  

  • Left turn will be restricted from eastbound Constellation onto northbound Avenue of the Stars. 

  • Constellation Bl will be maintained with one lane in each direction from Century Park East to Century Park West. 

Noteworthy: 

  • All work has received the necessary permits and approvals. 

  • Access to driveways, residences & businesses will be maintained at all times unless notified in advance. 

  • Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of construction zones. 

  • Access for the Fire Department and emergency responders will be maintained. 

  • Parking restrictions will be implemented in the immediate area of the work zone. 

  • Construction is dynamic and schedules are subject to change.
