Metro G Line Intersection Aerial Survey

Metro’s contractor, Valley Transit Partners (VTP), anticipates conducting scheduled daytime drone operations over 13 intersections along the Metro G Line Busway to capture aerial at the Metro G Line Busway intersections between Van Nuys Bl to North Hollywood Station. The images will support the construction of the four-quadrant gating system. The drone missions will comply with FAA regulations, occur during non-peak traffic hours, and avoid capturing imagery over private property. 

• Dates for Construction Activity: June 3, 2025 –  June 9, 2025 
• Work Location: Metro G Line Busway Intersections between Van Nuys Bl to North Hollywood Station.  
• Construction Work Hours: Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Weekend work from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM or Nighttime Work from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Weather permitting. 

• Flying the drone up to 200 ft maximum to capture aerial photos of Metro G Line Busway intersections. 
• Each site visit will be limited to approximately 20–30 minutes, scheduled during non-peak traffic periods. 
• Drone operations will be conducted without disruption to bus service, roadway traffic, pedestrian pathways, or bike access. 

• All work must receive the necessary permits and approvals prior to work beginning. 
• Access to emergency responders will be maintained. 
• Access to driveways, residences & businesses will be maintained unless notified in advance. 
• Construction is a dynamic process and work schedules and timelines are subject to change.
