City of Arcadia: Soundwall Construction


Summary   

As part of the Soundwall Package 10 Project, Metro’s contractor C.A. Rasmussen, will continue construction activities along I-210 in the City of Arcadia. Activities include temporary shoulder/ramp/lane closures for material delivery/removal, excavation/backfill, drainage/irrigation installation, and concrete placement operations for soundwall construction. Work is anticipated to continue through the end of March 2026.  

What to Expect/Traffic Control  

Intermittent ramp/lane closures on WB I-210 between Santa Anita Av and Baldwin Av, anticipated from 8am to 4pm and from 7pm to 6am (noise mitigations in place during night-time activities), weather permitting.     

Westbound I-210 off ramp closure at Santa Anita Av.    

Westbound I-210 on ramp closures at northbound and southbound Santa Anita Av. Detours: 

  • Northbound Santa Anita Av: continue northbound, left on Foothill Bl, left onto the westbound I-210 on ramp.     
  • Southbound Santa Anita Av: continue southbound, left on Huntington Dr, left onto the westbound I-210 on ramp.    

Westbound I-210 on ramp closure at Baldwin Av. Detour:    

  • Northbound Baldwin Av continue northbound, left on Foothill Bl, left onto the westbound I-210 on ramp.

Eastbound I-210 intermittent shoulder/lane closures between Baldwin Av and Santa Anita Av, anticipated from 8 am to 4pm and 7pm to 6am (noise mitigations in place during night-time activities). 

Eastbound I-210 on ramp closure at Santa Anita Av. Detour: 

  • Southbound Santa Anita Av continue south, left on Huntington Dr, right onto the eastbound I-210 on ramp.  
  • Northbound Santa Anita Av continue north, right on Foothill Bl, right on Myrtle Av, left on Evergreen Av to the the I-210 on ramp.    

Intermittent lane reduction on westbound Colorado St between Chelsea Rd and Baldwin Av from 7am to 5pm (as needed) during the week, thru traffic maintained.

Essential Details   

  • Work hours: Monday through Friday between 7am and 5pm, 7pm to 6am.  
  • Installation of advanced warning signage and detour signage will be posted along the route.    
  • Access for emergency responders will be maintained.   
  • All ramps will reopen before peak traffic hours.
