Atlantic Station Exercise 

Summary  

Metro personnel and local first responders will conduct an emergency drill on the Metro E line at Atlantic Station. This emergency drill is being conducted if there is ever an emergency on the Metro E Line Station at Atlantic Station. The purpose of this drill is to test and enhance readiness in the event of a real emergency. The community can expect to see a large presence of first responders, including personnel and vehicles from the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Los Angeles Sherriff's Dept (LASD), and a Los Angeles County FIre Dept (LACoFD). A large amount of simulated smoke will also be visible during this exercise. Anticipated street closures will affect eastbound Pomona Bl between South Woods Av and Atlantic Bl during the emergency drill exercise.

When: August 23, 2025, from 7AM to 12PM.
Where: 5150 E Pomona Blvd, East LA, 90022
 

What to Expect

  • Activities will feature a large presence of first responders and vehicles.
  • Simulated smoke will be visible between 9:30AM to 11:00AM
  • The community can expect to see numerous CHP, LASD, LACoFD vehicles and officers on site
  • Between 7-11AM, patrons of this shopping center can enter and exit from Atlantic Bl driveway only

  • Construction and train testing is a dynamic process, and it is subject to weather conditions, information is subject to change
