Utility Investigations at Burbank Bl and Fulton St


Metro’s contractor, Valley Transit Partners (VTP), will be performing utility investigations at the G Line Busway at Burbank Bl and Fulton St. Activities include saw cutting, potholing, and street restoration. This work will be done in four alternating phases throughout the duration of these activities. Please follow all detour signage. 


Anticipated start: February 28, 2026
Anticipated completion: Late March to early April 2026


Work hours: 

Monday–Friday: 8pm to 6am 

Weekends: 8am to 6pm


What to Expect


Phase 1 

  • Closure of northbound Fulton Av from Chandler Bl to Burbank Bl 
  • Closure of eastbound left turn lane on Chandler Bl at Fulton Av 
  • Closure of southbound #1 lane on Fulton Av at Burbank Bl 
  • Closure of eastbound bike lane on Burbank Bl 
  • Northbound Fulton Av closure detour 

Phase 2
  • Closure of southbound Fulton Av south of Burbank Bl 
  • Closure of westbound left turn lane on Burbank Bl at Fulton Av 
  • Closure of northbound left lane on Fulton Av at Burbank Bl 
  • Closure of eastbound bike lane on Burbank Bl 
  • Southbound Fulton Av closure detour 

Phase 3
  • Closure of eastbound Burbank Bl from Woodman Av to Fulton Av 
  • Closure of southbound left turn lane on Woodman Av at Burbank Bl 
  • Closure and shift of westbound #1 lane on Burbank Bl at Fulton Av 
  • Closure of westbound bike lane on Burbank Bl 
  • Eastbound Burbank Bl closure detour
Phase 4 
  • Closure of westbound Burbank Bl west of Fulton Av 
  • Closure of eastbound left turn lane on Burbank Bl at Fulton Av 
  • Closure of northbound left lane on Fulton Av at Burbank Bl 
  • Closure of westbound bike lane on Burbank Bl 
  • Westbound Burbank Bl closure detour 


Additional Information

  • All work must receive necessary permits and approvals prior to work beginning. 
  • Access to emergency responders will be maintained. 
  • Access to driveways, residences & businesses will be maintained unless notified in advance.  
  • Parking is restricted in posted areas, please follow the signage. 
  • Noise and dust control measures will be in place to minimize impacts. 
  • Construction is a dynamic process and work schedules and timelines are subject to change.
