Summary

Chatsworth Station ADA Improvements Project will begin construction activities to enhance accessibility and mobility needs at the station.  Improvements will take place throughout the station in four phases to maintain access to station services. When complete the project will enhance safety for all station users by updating and adding accessible features.


Date and Work Hours

Phase 1 construction is anticipated to start Tuesday, September 16, 2025 with installation of chain link fence to secure the work area.  Demolition and replacement of the sidewalk is anticipated to start Tuesday, September 24 for approximately 8 weeks, Monday through Friday with work hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Chatsworth Station at various locations, parking Lot A & B, and Old Depot Plaza Road 

What to Expect
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained outside the work area. Signage will be in place to direct the public.   
  • Some parking spaces in Lot A & B will be temporarily unavailable during construction, including ADA parking spaces. Alternative ADA parking will always be maintained. 
  • Two-way vehicular access will be maintained in the parking lot. Traffic spotters will be present during the construction activities to direct the public.  
  • The work will be conducted in phases as to have a limited impact on the pubic.  
  • Construction delineation, barricades, cones, and signage will be posted. 

Noteworthy
  • Access to transit services will be maintained at all times.  Transit services will not be impacted.  
  • Access for the Fire Department and emergency responders will be maintained.  
  • Construction is dynamic and schedules are subject to change.  
  • A separate notice will be issue for Phase 2 activities at the Metrolink platform to replace the mini-high ramp and other platform modifications.
