Olive Av and Hollywood Wy: Lane Reductions

Summary:

The North Hollywood to Pasadena Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project is part of Metro’s plan for better transit. This project will connect North Hollywood, Burbank, Glendale, Eagle Rock, and Pasadena through a new zero-emission BRT service that is faster, more reliable and operates like the best rail lines in the County.

Beginning in April 2026, crews began construction activities in Pasadena. This notice describes the nighttime work activities in the City of Burbank at the intersection of Olive Av and Hollywood Wy.

Location: Intersection of Olive Av and Hollywood Wy.

When: Starting the week of September 21, 2026, for approximately one month.

Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 11pm to 7am. Closures remain in place 24/7 until complete.

Crews will work in the medians of Olive Av and Hollywood Wy

Lane reductions on Olive Av between Kenwood St and Riverside Dr.
Left turns from Olive Av onto Hollywood Wy will be restricted.
Lane reductions on Hollywood Wy between Olive Av and Riverside Dr
Partial sidewalk closure on west side of Hollywood Wy between Riverside Dr and Olive Av. Pedestrian detour signs will be placed and access to businesses will be available.
Temporary access restrictions to Cordova St. Detour signs will be posted.
Left turn restrictions from westbound Olive Av into Warner Bros Gate 4 and from eastbound Olive Av onto Riverside Dr

What to Expect:

All work has the necessary permits and approvals.
Work includes sidewalk demolition and restoration, asphalt paving and lane striping. Noise, dust, and vibration are expected. Water-filled barriers and pedestrian fences will be placed for safety.
Sign and flaggers will direct traffic through open lanes. Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside construction zones. Detour signs will be posted.
Temporary parking restrictions will be posted in the immediate work area.
Access to driveways, residences, and businesses will be maintained unless notified in advance.

Traffic control and work limits may be adjusted as needed within the limits identified in this notice to maintain safe operations and business access.
