Construction Notice: Utility Investigations Along the Metro G Line Alignment

Utility investigations continue along the Metro G Line Improvement Project’s alignment, adjacent to the G Line Busway. Locating existing underground utilities helps reduce construction impacts as work progresses through each phase. 

Activities include saw cutting, potholing, and street restoration. This work will require lane reductions
surrounding the work areas listed below. Please follow all detour signage.  

Schedule:

February 2026 through June 2026  

Work hours:  

Monday to Friday, 8pm to 6am  
Saturday and Sunday: 8am to 6pm 

What To Expect

Utility investigations surrounding the intersections of the G Line Busway and the following streets:   

• Woodman Av (near Oxnard Av)  
• Oxnard Av (near Woodman Av)  
• Burbank Bl/Fulton Av intersection  
• Coldwater Canyon Av (near Chandler Bl)  
• Whitsett Av (near Chandler Bl)  
• Laurel Canyon Bl (near Chandler Bl)  
• Colfax Av (near Chandler Bl) 

Additional Information

• All work must receive necessary permits and approvals prior to work beginning. 
• Access to emergency responders will be maintained. 
• Access to driveways, residences & businesses will be maintained unless notified in advance.  
• Parking is restricted in posted areas, please follow the signage. 
• Noise and dust control measures will be in place to minimize impacts. 
• Construction is a dynamic process and work schedules and timelines are subject to change.
