Link US Phase A: Advance Utility Adjustment Project

Communications Line Relocation

Summary: The Link Union Station (Link US) Project will continue advance utility adjustment on Vignes St, Commercial St, and Center St. This work will allow for the future construction of the viaduct over the U.S. 101 freeway.  The Project will provide new run-through tracks to improve and expand regional rail capacity at Los Angeles Union Station.  

Date and Work Hours: Advance utility relocation by AT&T is anticipated to start Monday, July 1, 2024, and will take approximately 5 months to complete. Work hours will be Monday to Sunday, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., weather permitting. Additional utility relocation activities will be scheduled later and are anticipated to continue through 2025.  A separate notice will be issued for this work once scheduled.   

Locations:  

  • Vignes St at Commercial St; Commercial St between Vignes St and Center St; Center St at Commercial St.  

What to Expect:  

  • Directional lane closures will be in place on Commercial St, Vignes St, Center St; Local access will be maintained. 

  • Full closures will be in place at Vignes/Commercial and Commercial/Center intersections; Driveway access will be maintained.   

  • Motorists will be detoured to Garey St and Ducommun St.  

  • Pedestrian access will be maintained outside the work area.
