Back to Work Notices
Construction Notice

Summary:

Metro is making safety improvements on the Eastbound SR-91 from the Southbound I-710 to the Eastbound SR-91 connection through Atlantic Av and Cherry Av. Work on Eastbound SR-91 is designed to reduce collisions, improve vehicle merging, and help traffic move more safely in this area. Improvements include a new eastbound auxiliary lane, extended on-ramps and off-ramps, bridge widening, and replacement of existing soundwalls along the corridor.

What is an auxiliary lane?

An auxiliary lane is an additional lane provided for a short distance, usually between an on-ramp and an off-ramp, to help drivers merge in and out of traffic more safely and smoothly.
