Eastbound Wilshire Directional Closure – Wilshire/Fairfax Summary Beginning Friday, September 15 at 9pm, and continuing through Monday, September 18, eastbound Wilshire Bl will be closed between Fairfax Ave. and Spaulding Ave. A signed detour route will be in place for eastbound traffic. Westbound Wilshire Bl will be reduced to a single lane. This traffic control will support Fairfax Station construction. Orange Grove Ave. and Ogden Dr. will be closed at Wilshire Bl. Business Interruption Fund Metro's Business Interruption Fund (BIF) provides financial assistance to qualifying small “mom and pop” businesses directly impacted by construction; learn more by visiting metro.net/bif. To apply, visit Metro’s program administrator, Pacific Coast Regional Small Business Development Corporation (PCR) Persons Experiencing Homelessness If a person experiencing homelessness is encountered near a Metro construction site, Metro Construction Relations staff will distribute relevant construction information to the individual(s) located on City property. This information includes the time, date, location of construction activities, and anticipated impacts along with Metro Construction Relations contact information. As part of Metro’s construction notification, Metro also provides information on how a person experiencing homelessness can obtain city services, referral phone numbers for health and human services, and links to LAHSA’s online outreach portal. Metro Construction Relations staff will also notify and coordinate with the appropriate Los Angeles City Council District when a person experiencing homelessness is identified on City property (e.g., streets and sidewalks) near a Metro construction site.
