Florence Av Bus Lanes Striping

Summary:
Metro will convert existing peak-hour travel lanes into bus priority lanes on Florence Av between West Bl &
Central Av. Construction will involve grinding to remove existing striping. Metro will install new striping in phases.

When: May begin as early as mid-February 2026, with anticipated completion by summer 2026.

Work Hours: Monday to Saturday, 9pm to 6am

Traffic Control:
Temporary parking restrictions will be enforced on a block-by-block basis.
Temporary signage will offer detour information for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists.

New bus lanes will operate in both directions as follows:
> 7-9am, Monday-Friday
> 4-7pm, Monday-Friday
Street parking will remain available during mid-day, evenings, weekends and observed holidays.

Noteworthy:

Access to driveways, residences, and businesses will be maintained unless notified in advance.
Access for Emergency Responders will be maintained. 
Construction is a dynamic process and work schedules are subject to change.
