I-105 ExpressLanes Project

City Street Closures

Summary:

As part of the I-105 ExpressLanes Project, work crews anticipate the implementation of a series of full city street closures at the I-105 to support the reconstruction of several underpasses along the corridor to perform new roadway pavement construction to accommodate the new ExpressLanes and project improvements on the freeway. The anticipated schedule for the street closures is as follows:

Please note that these street closures are anticipated to occut over the course of approximately three months, and the work schedule-as well as all associated dates-remains subject to change due to the dynamic nature of construction activitites.

Work activities include the installation of bridge support structures, the pouring of concrete, and additional work activitites to advance construction of te freeway underpasses at several locations.

Multiple street closures will not take place simultaneously.

Additional daytime work (6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and intermittent nighttime work (7 p.m. to 6 a.m.) is also scheduled at these locations and is expected to continue through mid-2026.

What to Expect:

Occasional sidewalk closures at these underpasses may be necessary. Pedestrians will be notified in advance with signage and safely rerouted around the closures.
Additional full streets closures will be implemented in the future throughout the duration of construction.

Intermittent freeway lane reductions and ramp closures may be necessary to safely perform certain construction activities.

Metro bus lines along Avalon Bl and San Pedro St may be rerouted during the times of street closures. For information changes to Metro service, please call 323.GoMetro.
