Weekend Extended Lane Closures 

Please plan ahead or adjust your travel if necessary. 

The I-105 ExpressLanes Project will implement a series of weekend extended freeway lane closures in one direction of travel on an intermittent basis from spring 2026 – early 2027. The closure of the two center inside lanes, consisting of the HOV lane and the #1 lane, is necessary to support overhead sign structure installations. 

The next series of extended lane closures are anticipated on the following weekend dates and locations. Please click the specific date for the full details of the closure: 

  1. September 12-13, 2026 
    • Westbound I-105 lane closures from Wilmington Av to the I-110 Fwy. 
    • Work Hours: Beginning Friday, September 11, at 10pm through Sunday, September 13 at 10am. 
    • The westbound Wilmington Av on-ramp will be closed. 
  2. September 26-27, 2026
    • Eastbound I-105 lane closures from I-405 to the Crenshaw Bl. 
    • Work Hours: Beginning Friday night, September 25 through early Sunday, September 27. 
    • Corresponding on-ramps may be closed as needed 

What to Expect 

  • The remaining travel lanes will stay open 
  • Traffic control measures and advance signage will be in place to safely guide motorists through the work area. 
  • Metro C Line bus bridge will be in place during the closures  

Please note that construction is dynamic and work schedules are subject to change based on the progress of work and weather conditions.
