Weekend Extended Lane Closures 

Please plan ahead or adjust your travel if necessary. 

The I-105 ExpressLanes Project will implement a series of weekend extended freeway lane closures in one direction of travel on an intermittent basis from spring 2026 – early 2027. The closure of the two center inside lanes, consisting of the HOV lane and the #1 lane, is necessary to support overhead sign structure installations. 

The next series of extended lane closures are anticipated on the following weekend dates and locations. Please click the specific date for the full details of the closure: 

1. November 7–8, 2026 
   • Work Hours: Beginning Friday, November 6 at 10pm through Sunday, November 8 at 10am
   • Eastbound I-105 lane closures from Normandie Av to the I-110 
   • The northbound HOV connector from eastbound I-105 to the I-110 will be closed. Motorists may use the general-purpose connector as an alternate route. 

What to Expect 

• The remaining travel lanes will stay open.
• Traffic control measures and advance signage will be in place to safely guide motorists through the work area. 
• Metro C Line bus bridge will be in place from Friday, November 6 at 9pm to Sunday, November 8 at 9am between the Vermont/Athens Station at the Willowbrook Rosa Parks Station, with the Harbor Fwy and the Avalon Stations closed. 

Please note that construction is dynamic and work schedules are subject to change based on the progress of work and weather conditions.
