Rye Canyon Rd Closures for Bridge ConstructionSummaryAs part of the I-5 North County Enhancements Project, Metro’s contractor OHLA-USA, will be extending the existing Rye Canyon Rd Bridge to accommodate the new high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes along the I-5 corridor. Construction will take place along the outside shoulders, center median, and along Rye Canyon Rd adjacent to the I-5. Activities will include excavation, shoring, pile driving, form, rebar, auger drilling, concrete and sidewalk work, soil backfill, falsework installation and removal, and electrical paving on Rye Canyon Rd. Construction activities began in November 2022, and are anticipated to be completed in Spring of 2025. What to Expect & Traffic ControlIntermittent traffic control and full or partial lane closures of Rye Canyon Rd between The Old Road and Avenue Stanford, Monday through Friday from 7am to 4pm, and 7pm to 5am as needed.
