Rye Canyon Rd Closures for Bridge ConstructionSummary
As part of the I-5 North County Enhancements Project, Metro’s contractor OHLA-USA, will be extending the existing Rye Canyon Rd Bridge to accommodate the new high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes along the I-5 corridor. Construction will take place along the outside shoulders, center median, and along Rye Canyon Rd adjacent to the I-5. Activities will include excavation, shoring, pile driving, form, rebar, concrete and paving work, soil backfill, falsework installation and removal, girder installation, electrical, and paving work on Rye Canyon Rd. What to Expect/Traffic Control
Intermittent traffic control and lane closures of Rye Canyon Rd between The Old Road and Avenue Stanford are anticipated to begin the week of Monday, May 15 through Friday, May 19 from 6am to 4pm for pile driving and excavation. Full closures of Rye Canyon Rd between The Old Road and Avenue Stanford will take place on Thursday, May 18 and Friday, May 19, from 7pm to 5am for crane relocation, pile driving, and excavation. Detour 1: Traveling northbound on The Old Road, turn left on Henry Mayo Dr, enter eastbound SR-126/Newhall Ranch Rd, continue Newhall Ranch Rd to Rye Canyon Rd Detour 2: Traveling southbound on The Old Road, turn left on Magic Mountain Pkwy, left on McBean Pkwy, left on Newhall Ranch Rd, continue Newhall Ranch Rd to Rye Canyon Rd Detour 3: Traveling westbound on Rye Canyon Rd, turn left on Newhall Ranch Rd, right on McBean Pkwy, right on Magic Mountain Pkwy, continue to The Old Road/Rye Canyon Rd Essential Details
