Roadway Paving and Restoration

Summary 

As part of the K Line, a new fire hydrant and new connecting water line has been installed in the City of Inglewood on Florence Av between Prairie Av and High St. To complete this work, construction crews will pave and restore the roadway on Florence Av between Prairie Av and High St. Work activity was originally anticipated for February 20, 2023 through March 3, 2023, however due to the recent rain, this work has been postponed and will begin March 6, 2023 through March 17, 2023. 

This work includes a lane closure on eastbound Florence Av, east of Prairie Av and a lane closure on northbound Prairie Av, south of Florence Av. 

When 

• Beginning March 6, 2023 through March 17, 2023. 

• Monday through Friday, 7:30AM – 3:30PM. Weather permitting.  

Where 

• Florence Av between Prairie Av and High St. 

Traffic Control 

• Eastbound lane closure on Florence Av east of Prairie Av. Traffic will be detoured around the lane closure. 

• Northbound lane closure on Prairie Av, south of Florence Av. Traffic will be detoured around the lane closure. 

• Traffic delays on Florence Av and Prairie Av. 

Access 

• Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of the construction zone. 

• Access to business and residential driveways within the work zone will be maintained. 

• Access for emergency vehicles and first responders will be maintained. 

Noteworthy 

• Lane closure and traffic control items will be removed by work crew at the end of work activity. 

• Noise and dust control measures will be in place to minimize impacts. 

• All work has received necessary permits and approvals. 

• Construction is a dynamic process and work schedules and timelines are subject to change.
