Westbound I-105 (Central Av to I-110): Extended Lane Closures

Metro has a plan to ease traffic and enhance safety on the I-105, which includes the conversion of the existing High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane, or carpool lane, into two Metro ExpressLanes in each direction on the I-105. Major construction for the first phase of the project, Segment 1 between Sepulveda Bl and Central Av, started in early 2025 and is anticipated to be completed in year 2028.

As part of these improvements, work crews are anticipated to implement extended lane closures on the weekend of October 9th along the westbound I-105 between Central Av and the I-110. This work is part of a series of overhead sign structure installations, which support the overall project improvements, including the implementation of the new ExpressLanes.
