Century City Weekend Directional Closures on Ave of the Stars 6/28-6/30

Summary

The contractor will be implementing directional closures on southbound Avenue of the Stars from Santa Monica Bl to Constellation Bl and northbound Avenue of the Stars from Constellation Bl to Santa Monica Bl to support the progress of restoration work. The contractor will be implementing an additional day to the closure due to the extent of the restoration, specifically the paving operation. In order to open the required lanes of traffic, the contractor needs to complete asphalt removal within the active southbound lane, repave, restripe, implement the new traffic control measures and adjust the traffic signals to accommodate the new traffic configuration. The contractor has also extended this duration to perform the noisier construction activities during the dayshift to mitigate potential nighttime noise impacts. The weekend closure will start on Friday June 28 at 10pm through Sunday June 30 at 6am.
