Southbound Valencia Bl Off-Ramp Traffic Shift

Summary

As part of the I-5 North County Enhancements Project, Metro’s contractor OHLA USA, will maintain and modify freeway lane striping and k-rail (temporary concrete barriers) to support construction activity throughout the project corridor. Activities will include removal of existing striping, placement of new striping, and adjustments of concrete barriers.

At the completion of construction, improvements are expected to enhance traffic flow and safety, reduce congestion, and make commuting smoother.

What to Expect & Traffic Control

Prepare for a lane reconfiguration at the southbound Valencia Bl off-ramp and nightly intermittent ramp closures between 7:00pm and 6:00am, beginning Thursday, April 16, 2026 through October 2026.

  • Southbound Valencia Bl off-ramp

Essential Details

  • This partial off-ramp shift will remain in place for approximately five months. 

  • Traffic will be maintained in each direction.   

  • No lane closures will be implemented during morning or evening peak traffic hours. 

  • The speed limit within construction work zones is changed to 55-miles per hour.
