Artesia Bl – Utility Investigations

Summary 
Metro's contractor, C Below Inc., will be performing investigations of existing utilities on Artesia Bl and Dumont Av. This work will require short-term lane reductions, allowing crews to safely perform activities along the Southeast Gateway Line project alignment in the City of Cerritos 

Schedule (weather permitting, excluding holidays) 

• As early as October 21 – November 04, 2026 
• Work hours: Monday through Friday, 9pm – 5am 

Locations: 

• Artesia Bl and Dumont Av 

What to Expect

• Short-term traffic impacts due to lane reductions. Lanes will be restored daily upon work completion.
• Parking restrictions in posted areas; please follow the signage. 
• Temporary fencing, equipment in the street, trenches, and roadway repaving. 

Noteworthy

• All work has received necessary permits and approvals.  
• Access to emergency responders will be maintained during construction.  
• Access to private driveways, residences, and businesses, will always be maintained unless notified in advance.  
• Construction is a dynamic process and work schedules and timelines are subject to change.
