Utility Improvements

Summary
The Southern California Gas Company will be performing improvements (casing extensions) to an existing pipeline on Studebaker Rd between Artesia Bl and 183rd St. This work will require short-term lane reductions, allowing crews to safely perform activities along the Southeast Gateway Line project alignment in the City of Cerritos.
                         
Schedule (weather permitting, excluding holidays)

  • August 31 – October 2, 2026
  • Work hours: Monday through Friday, 7am – 4pm
Locations: 
  • Studebaker Rd between Artesia Bl and 183rd St
What to Expect
  • Short-term traffic impacts due to lane reductions. Lanes will be restored daily upon work completion.  
  • Parking restrictions in posted areas; please follow the signage.
  • Temporary fencing, equipment in the street, trenches, and roadway repaving. 
Noteworthy
  • All work has received necessary permits and approvals. 
  • Access to emergency responders will be maintained during construction. 
  • Access to private driveways, residences, and businesses, will always be maintained unless notified in advance. 
  • Construction is a dynamic process and work schedules and timelines are subject to change.
