Utility Relocation Work

Summary
As part of the utility adjustment work for the Southeast Gateway Line (SGL), the Southern California Gas Company will be performing a pipeline relocation project on Lakewood Bl between Sommerset Bl and South Paseo St. The utility adjustment work will require short-term lane reductions to allow the crews to safely perform trenching activities along the SGL alignment in the Cities of Bellflower and Paramount.

June 1st though July 2026
Monday through Friday, 7am – 4pm

What to Expect

Short-term traffic impacts due to lane reductions. Lanes will be restored daily upon work completion.
Parking restrictions in posted areas; please follow the signage.
As part of this work, you will see temporary fencing, equipment in the street, excavations, and roadway repaving.

Noteworthy

All work has received necessary permits and approvals.
Access to emergency responders will be maintained during construction.
Access to private driveways, residences, and businesses, will always be maintained unless notified in advance.
