Bus Electric Charger Installation at El Monte Bus Station

Summary: As part of the agencies zero emission bus goals, Metro is installing bus chargers and other charging
infrastructure at both El Monte Bus Station and Metro Division 9. Approximately 48 new chargers will be
installed between the two locations. As part of this project, Metro is installing the required infrastructure and
electrical utilities network to the chargers. The work activities will include but not be limited to saw cutting,
jackhammering and excavation.

Date and Work Hours: Construction is anticipated to begin October 14th, 2024 and continue until May 30th,
2025. Work hours are Monday to Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm.

Location: El Monte North Access Road located to the north of El Monte Bus Station loop and Division 9 Bus
Maintenance Facility.

What to Expect:
• Work will be contained within El Monte Bus Station area.
• Activities will minimally impact public access to the station or bus services supported from El Monte Bus
Station.
• There will be intermittent moderate noise and dust due to the operation of heavy equipment and other
activities
