D Line service interruption: Work To Connect New and Existing Train Controls
SummaryBeginning Monday, March 20 and continuing for approximately 30 days, D Line (Purple) service will be interrupted due to construction of the Purple Line Extension Project. During this time, the D Line will only run between the Wilshire/Western and Wilshire/Vermont stations.
Transfer between the B and D lines will be available at the Wilshire/Vermont Station. This work begins the connection of the existing D Line stations with the new D Line Extension Project.
During this period, trains will operate during daytime hours at 10-minute intervals all week for B Line (Red) between Union Station and North Hollywood. A train shuttle for the D Line will run at 20-minute intervals. Those who ride the B Line west of Vermont to NoHo will find improved service, but Purple Line and the combined B/D line service between Wilshire/Vermont and Union Station will be a little less frequent.
