Bridgework at Imperial Hwy between Nash St and DirectTV Wy

Summary: Metro is continuing bridge improvements on westbound Imperial Hwy between Nash St and DirecTV Way as part of the I-105 ExpressLanes Project. This work helps strengthen the bridge structure so crews can safely install new freeway signs in the future. Construction teams will perform the work during the dates and hours listed below. Nearby residents, businesses, riders and motorists should expect lane reductions, temporary ramp closures and traffic control signage.  
 
Location: Westbound Imperial Hwy between Nash St and DirecTV Wy
 
What to Expect: 
  • Night work began in June, running from 8pm to 6am, and will last for about 2 to 3 weeks.
  • Daytime work will take place from 7am to 4pm and will occur only as needed.
  • Left-turn lanes and two westbound lanes on Imperial Hwy will be temporarily closed during nightime work hours. 
  • The southbound Sepulveda Bl to the eastbound I-105 on-ramp will be closed at night, and some freeway lanes will be narrowed or reduced.
  • Clear traffic signs and detours will be set up to guide drivers safely through the work area. 
  • Access for emergency responders will be fully always maintained. 
Access
  • Access for residents, businesses, pedestrians and emergency responders will be maintained unless otherwise noted. Temporary delays may occur during active construction. Please follow posted signs and instructions from traffic control personnel.
