Link Union Station (Link US) Phase A | Early Activities

Telecom and DWP Cable Pulling

Summary: The Link Union Station (Link US) Project continues utility adjustments. The next phase involves cable pulling activities for power and telecom service providers on Commercial St and Center St. This work will allow for the future construction of the bridge over the U.S. 101 freeway. The Project will provide new run-through tracks to improve and expand regional rail capacity at Los Angeles Union Station.  

Date and Work Hours:  Cable pulling by telecom and power operators began in January 2025 and is anticipated to be ongoing through mid 2025. Intermittent work hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.  Additional utility adjustment activities will be scheduled later and are anticipated to continue through 2025.  A notice of work will be issued once scheduled.  

Locations:  

  • Commercial St between Vignes St to east of Center St 

What to Expect:  

  • Crews will set up construction vehicles at manholes only.   

  • Thru traffic and local access will be maintained at all times. 

  • Pedestrian access will be maintained outside the work area.
