Train Service Suspended Between 7th/Metro Station and Union Station

Summary 

Train service on the B (Red) and D (Purple) lines will be suspended between the 7th/Metro Station and Union Station between 5:45am on Friday, March 28 and ending Sunday, March 30 at end of service. This suspension is required by Division 20 Portal Widening Project construction. 

Detours 

A bus bridge will link the B and D line stations at Union Station, Civic Center, and Pershing Square with train service turning back at the 7th/Metro Center Station.  Union Station, Pershing Square, and Civic Center stations will be completely closed to the public   

When 

Saturday, March 28 through Sunday March 30, 2025. 

Work Hours 

Continuous from 5:45am Friday to end of service Sunday.

Noteworthy 

  • Customers traveling between 7th/Metro Center and Pershing Square will have an available bus bridge shuttle. 

  • Customers traveling between 7th/Metro Center and Civic Center can transfer to the A (Blue) or E (Expo) Line and access Civic Center Station from the Historic Broadway Station. 

  • Customers traveling between 7th/Metro Center and Union Station can transfer to the A Line and connect directly to Union Station. 

  • Construction schedules are subject to change.

Unhoused Persons 

If a person experiencing homelessness is encountered near a Metro construction site, Metro Construction Relations staff will distribute relevant construction information to the individual(s) located on City property. This information includes the time, date, location of construction activities, and anticipated impacts along with Metro Construction Relations contact information.

Local access, Pedestrian Access, and Emergency Responder Access is maintained during work activities.
