Westwood Bl and Wilshire Bl: Street Investigation work

Summary

Metro contractors will confirm utility locations on Wilshire Bl for the future Westwood/UCLA Station. Work will be done in the southeast side of the Wilshire Bl and Westwood Bl intersection. Lanes will be reduced on Wilshire Bl between Westwood Bl and Veteran Av.

Date: May 30 to June 15

Work hours: Monday to Friday, 9pm to 6am

Traffic Control:

Three eastbound Wilshire Bl lanes will be closed between Veteran Av and Westwood Bl. One eastbound Wilshire Bl lane will be open.
Left turns will be restricted on Wilshire Bl at Westwood Bl.

Southbound lanes of Westwood Bl will be reduced between Lindbrook Dr and Wilshire Bl.
The west leg crosswalk of the Wilshire Bl/Westwood Bl intersection will be closed. Three other crosswalks remain open.

Noteworthy:

All work will receive the necessary permits and approvals.
Access to driveways, residences & businesses will always be maintained unless notified in advance.

Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of construction zones.
Access for the Fire Department and emergency responders will be maintained.
Parking restrictions will be implemented in the immediate area of the work zone.
Construction is dynamic and schedules are subject to change.
