Wilshire Bl and Gayley Av: LADWP Coordination Work 

Summary 

In coordination with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, contractors will install a service cable for signal lights at Wilshire Bl and Gayley Av. This work supports the future Westwood/UCLA Station. Traffic restrictions will be implemented on Wilshire Bl between Veteran Av and Westwood Av. A traffic control officer will assist with traffic safety during the work. 

When:

Date: January 30 to 31 

Work hours:  9pm to 6am 

Traffic Control:  

• Two westbound center lanes and the two left turn pocket lanes on Wilshire Bl and Gayley Ave will be restricted. Lane reductions for westbound Wilshire Bl traffic at Westwood Bl. 

• Traffic going southbound on Gayley Av may not turn right to westbound Wilshire Bl. The two right turn pockets will be closed on southbound Gayley Av between Lindbrook Dr and Wilshire Bl. 

• The north leg cross was at Wilshire Bl and Gayley Av will be closed.  Three crosswalks will remain open. 

• A flagger will be provided to assist pedestrians around the work area in the northwest corner of Gayley Av and Wilshire Bl. 

Noteworthy: 

• All work will receive the necessary permits and approvals. 

• Access to driveways, residences & businesses will always be maintained unless notified in advance. 

• Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of construction zones. 

• Access for the Fire Department and emergency responders will be maintained. 

• Parking restrictions will be implemented in the immediate area of the work zone. 

• Construction is dynamic and schedules are subject to change.
