Wilshire Bl between Veteran Av and Westwood Bl: Dewatering Well Risers 

Summary 

Metro contractors will be installing dewatering well risers and laterals to support construction the future Westwood/UCLA Station. Work is scheduled for weeknights, weather permitting. 

When

Date:  Ongoing through June 30

Work hours: 9pm to 6am, Monday to Friday

Traffic Control: 

• Lanes will be reduced for westbound Wilshire Bl between Westwood Bl and Gayley Av. 

• Intermittent sidewalk closures on the northside of Wilshire Bl between Westwood Bl and Gayley Av through June 30. 

• Lanes will be reduced for eastbound Wilshire Bl between Sepulveda Bl and Gayley Av. 

• Left turns will be restricted at the Wilshire Bl and Gayley Av intersection. 

• Southbound Gayley Av traffic may only turn right to westbound Wilshire Bl. 

• Southbound Gayley Av lanes will be reduced between Kinross Av and Wilshire Bl. 

• Northbound Midvale Av/Gayley Av traffic lanes will remain open. 

• The west leg crosswalk on Wilshire Bl and Gayley Av will be closed. 

Noteworthy 

• Access to driveways, residences, and businesses will be maintained unless there is prior notification of restricted access. 

• Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of construction zones. 

• Access for the Fire Department and emergency responders will be maintained. 

• Parking restrictions will be implemented in the immediate area of the work zone. 

• Construction is dynamic and schedules are subject to change.
