Southbound I-110 to I-105 Interchange Electrical Equipment Installation

Summary
Metro is improving traffic flow and safety on the I-105 by converting the existing High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes into two Metro ExpressLanes in each direction. Major construction for Segment 1, between Sepulveda Boulevard and Central Avenue, began in early 2025 and is expected to continue for approximately three years.

As part of these improvements, crews will install underground electrical tolling equipment over a three-mile stretch and place temporary concrete barriers in select areas of southbound I-110 approaching I-105. These activities support the new tolling system for the I-105 ExpressLanes and overall project enhancements.

Location: Southbound I-110, from 79th Street to I-105, along the shoulder area.
