Summary 

As part of the Soundwall Package 10 Project, Metro’s contractor C.A. Rasmussen, will continue construction activities along eastbound SR-134. Activities include temporary shoulder/ramp/lane closures for material delivery/removal, excavation/backfill, rebar/pile/drainage/masonry installation, and concrete placement operations for soundwall construction. Work is anticipated to continue through Summer 2025. 

What to Expect/Traffic Control  

Day time work hours: Monday through Friday between 7am and 4pm, 9pm to 6am (noise mitigations in place during night-time activities). Saturdays 7am to 3pm (as needed).    

Temporary lane reductions on eastbound SR-134 from Cahuenga Bl to Pass Av, anticipated to take place intermittently overnight 9pm to 6am, Tuesday, January 21, 2025, through Friday, January 24, 2025.   

Eastbound SR-134 on-ramp closure at Cahuenga Bl with lane reductions on eastbound SR-134 from Cahuenga Bl to N Pass Av, intermittently during the week from 9pm to 6am.

Detours:  

  • Northbound Cahuenga Bl: continue northbound on Cahuenga Bl, right on Camarillo St, continue onto Verdugo Av, right on Pass Av, left on Riverside Dr, left onto eastbound SR-134.   
  • Southbound Cahuenga Bl: continue southbound on Cahuenga Bl, left on Riverside Dr, left onto eastbound SR-134. 

Essential Details 

  • Installation of advanced warning signage and detour signage will be posted along the route.  
  • All lanes will reopen before peak traffic hours each morning.  
  • Access for emergency responders will be maintained.

  • Construction is a dynamic process, and it is subject to weather conditions.
