City of Beverly Hills – Beverly Drive Station Monthly Look-Ahead: October 2026

This monthly notification is an outline of construction activities for the month of October 2026. Additional notices detailing these activities will be sent by Metro’s project team. To be added to the Purple (D) Line stakeholder list for weekly updates, please email: metrodline@metro.net.  

Ongoing Station Construction 

• Krail enclosures along the north and south curb lanes have been mostly replaced with cones and delineators and will remain in place throughout October to support ongoing station construction and street restoration.
• Remaining few krails are anticipated to be replaced with cones in early October. 
• Street restoration work will continue behind the cones. 
• Two lanes in each direction will be maintained along Wilshire Bl between Beverly Dr and Crescent Dr.
• Sidewalk closures may be in place on the north and south side of Wilshire Bl during this time.
• Detour signage is in place to direct pedestrians along Wilshire Bl.  

Work Hours

• On-street work behind Krail: Work will continue Monday through Friday from 7am to 9pm. Breakdown activities may occur from 9pm to 11pm, with additional overnight work from 11pm to 7am when coordinated. 
• S Beverly Dr lane reductions: S Beverly Dr may be reduced to one lane in each direction from 9am to 4pm and from 8:15pm to 7am. 
• Wilshire Bl lane reductions and deliveries: Wilshire Bl may be reduced to one lane in each direction from 9pm to 7am to support station construction and material deliveries, and occasionally one side of the street may be reduced to one lane between 9am and 4pm to support street restoration. 

Maybourne Alley Asphalt Demo, Removal, and Restoration Work

• The contractor will continue work in the Maybourne alley (between N Canon Dr and Beverly Dr) at Wilshire Bl to perform asphalt demolition, removal, and restoration work activities in the month of October.  
• Work hours may be from 7am to 4:30pm. 

Tree Planting Along Wilshire Bl from El Camino to Crescent 

• The contractor will be performing tree installations along the North side of Wilshire between El Camino and Crescent as well as shrub planting in the landscaped median on Wilshire Bl between Crescent Dr and Beverly Dr during the month of October.
• There will be a temporary lane reduction during the offloading of the trees with flaggers to direct traffic.
• There will be temporary sidewalk closures during the installation of the trees. Pedestrian detours will be implemented, and wayfinding signage will be installed.   

Wilshire Island Construction

• The contractor will perform the construction of a landscaped median on Wilshire Bl between Crescent Dr and Reeves Dr. 
• Two lanes will be available in each direction along Wilshire Bl between Crescent Dr and Beverly Dr.
• Occasionally, Wilshire Blvd. may be reduced by one lane in each direction for concrete placement. 
• ​​​​​​​Pedestrian access will be maintained 24/7, with flaggers and cones near Crescent Dr to S Reeves Dr to assist pedestrians around the work zone. 

S Reeves Driveway Reconstruction

• The contractor will perform removal and replacement of the driveway on South Reeves. 
• South Reeves may become one lane with flaggers to manage and direct two-way traffic around the work area. 
• ​​​​​​​There will be temporary sidewalk closures during the install.

ADA Ramp Upgrades

• The contractor will perform restoration work on the curb, sidewalk and ADA ramps on the north and south side of  Wilshire Bl between El Camino Dr and Camden Dr throughout the month of October. 
• Traffic control signs, cones/delineators, and tapers will guide motorists through the lane shifts.  
• ​​​​​​​Pedestrian detours will be in place to direct foot traffic to the nearest north-south and east-west crosswalks.
