Beverly Drive Station Monthly Look-Ahead: May 2026

This monthly notification is an outline of construction activities for the month of May 2026. Additional notices detailing these activities will be sent by Metro’s project team. To be added to the Purple (D) Line stakeholder list for weekly updates, please email: metrodline@metro.net.  

Ongoing Station Construction 

  • Krail enclosures will remain in place along the north and south curb lanes to support ongoing station  construction and facilitate appendage and street restoration construction during the month of May.  
  • Krail removal on the north side of Wilshire Bl may be implemented in the areas where the work behind Krail is substantially completed.
  • Two lanes in each direction will be maintained along Wilshire Bl between Beverly Dr and Crescent Dr.  
  • Left turns will be restricted from westbound Wilshire Bl to S Canon Dr. Sidewalk closures may be in place on the north and south side of Wilshire Bl during this time. Detour signage is in place to direct pedestrians along Wilshire Bl.  

Work Hours:

  • On-street work continues behind Krail Mon-Fri from 7 AM to 9 PM, breakdown 9 PM to 11 PM, and 11 PM to 7 AM when coordinated. 
  • 9 AM to 4 PM, & 8:15 PM to 7 AM, S Beverly Dr may be reduced to one lane in each direction. 
  • 8:15 PM to 7 AM, Wilshire Bl may be reduced to one lane in each direction supporting station construction and material delivery. S Beverly Dr may be reduced to one lane in each direction. 

Wilshire Bl Sidewalk Demolition and Restoration 

  • The contractor continues to perform demo, curb, gutter, driveway and underground electrical, and sidewalk restoration work along the north and south side of Wilshire Bl during the month of May.   
  • Work will take place in sections along Wilshire Bl between Crescent Dr and El Camino Dr.   
  • Sidewalk restoration work will be performed along the north sidewalk of Wilshire Bl between Beverly Dr and Canon Dr. 
  • Pedestrian access along Wilshire Bl between Crescent Dr and El Camino Dr will be maintained throughout work activity using k-rail protective barriers and temporary ADA compliant walkways.   
  • Daytime Work Hours: 7AM to 4:30PM (Permitted noisy activities performed from 9AM to 4:30PM) and Nighttime Work Hours: 8PM to 4:30AM.  
  • The contractor will coordinate with impacted stakeholders on ways to maintain access to their properties during work activity.

AKA Alley Asphalt Demo, Removal, and Restoration Work

  • The contractor will be performing demolition, removal, and restoration work in the AKA alley throughout the month of May.   
  • Soundwall and pile foundation removal anticipated to be conducted from Canon Yard. No alley closures will be implemented during this period of work activity.   
  • The contractor will close the AKA alley (between Crescent Dr and N Canon Dr) at Wilshire Bl to perform asphalt demolition and removal and restoration work activities. The alley closure will be in place from the driveway at Wilshire Bl to approximately 180 feet north, at the end of the Canon Yard Wall.  
  • Work hours may be from 7AM to 4:30PM. Alley access will be maintained from Clifton way.  

Maybourne Alley Asphalt Demo, Removal, and Restoration Work

  • The contractor will close the Maybourne alley (between N Canon Dr and Beverly Dr) at Wilshire Bl to perform asphalt demolition, removal, and restoration work activities throughout the month of May. The alley closure will be in place from the alley driveway on Wilshire Bl to approximately 50 feet north.  
  • ​​​​​​​Work hours may be from 7AM to 4:30PM. 

CP-27 Street Restoration Work Activities 

  • The contractor is anticipated to perform street restoration work activities at CP-27 along Wilshire Bl between Willaman Dr and Stanley Dr. 
  • Work hours may be Monday through Friday, from 9AM to 4PM.  

Equipment Decommissioning Work  

  • The contractor may perform equipment decommission work along Wilshire Bl at various locations between Le Doux Rd and N Doheny Dr through the month of May.  
  • Work hours may be Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 6PM and 8:15PM to 7AM 
  • Intermittent eastbound and westbound lane closures may be implemented as needed based on the active work area.  
  • ​​​​​​​Thru traffic from side streets across Wilshire Bl may be restricted during this time. Turn restrictions may be implemented on Wilshire Bl and on side streets.
