Beverly Drive Station Monthly Look-Ahead: August 2026

This monthly notification is an outline of construction activities for the month of August 2026. Additional notices detailing these activities will be sent by Metro’s project team. To be added to the Purple (D) Line stakeholder list for weekly updates, please email: metrodline@metro.net.  

Ongoing Station Construction 

  • Krail enclosures will remain in place along the north and south curb lanes throughout August to support ongoing station construction and street restoration. 
  • On the north side of Wilshire Bl, krail removal may be implemented in the areas where the work behind Krail is substantially completed. 
  • Two lanes in each direction will be maintained along Wilshire Bl between Beverly Dr and Crescent Dr.
  • Sidewalk closures may be in place on the north and south side of Wilshire Bl during this time.
  • Detour signage is in place to direct pedestrians along Wilshire Bl.  

Work Hours

  • On-street work behind Krail: Work will continue Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 9 PM. Breakdown activities may occur from 9 PM to 11 PM, with additional overnight work from 11 PM to 7 AM when coordinated. 
  • S Beverly Dr lane reductions: S Beverly Dr may be reduced to one lane in each direction from 9 AM to 4 PM and from 8:15 PM to 7 AM. 
  • Wilshire Bl lane reductions and deliveries: Wilshire Bl may be reduced to one lane in each direction from 8:15 PM to 7 AM to support station construction and material deliveries, and occasionally one side of the street many be reduced to lane between 9am and 4pm to support street restoration. S Beverly Dr may also be reduced to one lane in each direction 24/7 for street restoration work. 

S Beverly Dr Sidewalk and Alley Approach Restoration Work

  • Sidewalk pours will be happening on both the East and West sidewalks throughout the first half of August.  
  • Pedestrians will be detoured around the work area using the designated temporary pedestrian route. 
  • The west side alley approach just south of Wilshire Blvd will be closed for restoration work in August. Alley access maintained from S El Camino Dr.  

Maybourne Alley Asphalt Demo, Removal, and Restoration Work

  • The contractor will close the Maybourne alley (between N Canon Dr and Beverly Dr) at Wilshire Bl to perform asphalt demolition, removal, and restoration work activities throughout the month of July. The alley closure will be in place from the alley driveway on Wilshire Bl to approximately 50 feet north.  
  • Work hours may be from 7 AM to 4:30 PM. 

Restoration Work on Wilshire Bl from AKA Alley to N Canon Dr

  • The contractor will remove trailers within the North Canon yard during the month of August. 
  • ​​​​​​​The contractor will perform concrete pours for the curb, gutter, and driveway along Wilshire Bl during the month of August.  

Bus Pas and Sidewalk Restoration Work on Wilshire Bl from S Reeves Dr to Beverly Dr

  • The contractor will perform bus pad restoration work on the south side of Wilshire Bl between S Reeves Dr and S Beverly Dr during the month of August. 
  • Concrete pours for the sidewalk on north side of Wilshire Bl from S Reeves Dr to Beverly Dr will take place during the month of August.  
  • ​​​​​​​Pedestrians will be detoured around the work area using the designated temporary pedestrian route. ​​​​​​​
