Bus Bridge to Two D Line Stations to Begin May 17                                                                                                                                    
Summary 

Starting at the beginning of service on May 17 continuing through end of service on July 25, the Wilshire/Western and Wilshire/Normandie stations will be closed. A bus bridge will offer access to Metro D Line users in this area. This D Line closure is required to link the new D Line Extension project with the existing D Line.

Detour Routes 

During this 70-day D Line partial closure, these options are available. Use 

  • The B Line. 

  • Bus Shuttle 855. 

  • Metro Line 720 or 20 or alternative routes. 

  • B Line frequency will increase from a 12-minute frequency to every eight minutes.

  • All work has received necessary permits and approvals. 

  • Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of the construction zone.

Unhoused Persons 

Metro Construction Relations staff will notify and coordinate with the appropriate Los Angeles City Council District when a person experiencing homelessness is identified on City property (e.g., streets and sidewalks) near a Metro construction site.
