Century City Deck Removal Work 

Summary 

Starting on March 9 through May 3, the contractor will be implementing deck removal work in four phases along Constellation Bl. Work will be done in phases from east to west. 

Additional construction notices outlining phase-specific traffic impacts will be distributed to all relevant stakeholders. 

  • Phase One: Work will be conducted from the east end of Constellation Bl at Century Park East, up to Century Park Tower driveway. Watt Plaza alley will be closed. Century Park Tower driveway access will be maintained from Ave of the Stars.   
  • Phase Two: Work will be conducted from the east end of Constellation Bl up to Avenue of the Stars.  The Watt Plaza alley driveway and Century Park Tower driveway will be closed.  
  • Phase Three: Work will be conducted within the intersection of Constellation Bl and Avenue of the Stars. During this phase there will be no through traffic access or turns within the intersection in any direction. Coordination with Westfield Century City will be implemented. Driveway access on Constellation Bl to 1999 AOS and The Fairmount Century Plaza Hotel will be inaccessible while Avenue of the Stars intersection is closed.  Access to the Watt Plaza alley driveway and Century Park Tower driveway will be open from Century Park East only. 
  • Phase Four: Work will be conducted on Constellation Bl from Avenue of the Stars to Solar Way. Access to 1999 AOS driveway and The Fairmount Century Plaza Hotel lane will be closed.

  • Phase One: March 9 – 22 
  • Phase Two: March 23 – April 5 
  • Phase Three: April 6 – 19 
  • Phase Four: April 20 – May 3  
Work Hours
  • Work will be done continuously, 24 hours per day.  
Traffic Control
  • The contractor shall always maintain ADA compliant pedestrian access for the duration of work activity.   
  • Additional construction notices outlining phase-specific traffic controls will be distributed to all relevant stakeholders. 
Noteworthy:
  • All work has or will receive the necessary permits and approvals.
  • Access to driveways, residences & businesses will be maintained at all times unless notified in advance.
  • Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of construction zones.
  • Access for the Fire Department and emergency responders will be maintained.
  • Parking restrictions will be implemented in the immediate area of the work zone.
  • Construction is dynamic and schedules are subject to change.
