Century City Station – Monthly Look-Ahead: September 2026 

This monthly notification is an outline of construction activities in Century City for the month of September 2026.  
All work has received necessary permits and approvals or is pending approval. Dates are subject to change. Additional notices detailing these activities are sent by email through the D Line Extension, Section 2 database. To be added to the D Line stakeholder list for construction updates, please email us at metrodline@metro.net.  

• Work will continue behind k-rail enclosures to construct appendages along the future station within the current traffic closures.  
• The contractor will be performing potholing work at grating 12N on the northwest side of Constellation Bl near Avenue of the Stars.  
• Construction occurs within current traffic closures around the station area to accommodate this work and the contractor will implement additional traffic phasing to continue work on the remaining structures. 

• Placement of structural concrete for the Constellation Station is complete.  
• Construction of the interior and above roof structures will be ongoing underground beneath Constellation Bl. This work takes place 24 hours a day Monday through Saturday.  

• The contractor will be continuing to conduct backfill operations for the future station above the final concrete structure during the month of September.  
• ​​​​​​​The backfill operation will require daily intermittent nighttime closures coordinated with the concrete placement.

• Ongoing construction continues within the sound walls at the staging yards located at 1940, 1950, 2010 and 2040 Century Park East.

• The contractor has implemented a sidewalk closure along the north sidewalk of Constellation Bl from Avenue of the Stars up to the Westfield Mall ADA ramp to perform appendage construction.   
• Access to driveways for The Westfield Mall and 1999 AOS will be maintained during work activity. 
• Pedestrian detour access will be maintained via the south side of Constellation Bl sidewalk, Avenue of the Stars crosswalk, and the Solar Way crosswalk.   
• When: May 11th through November 11th.  Anticipated 6-month duration  
• ​​​​​​​Daytime Work Hours: 6AM-3PM
