Civil Restoration – D Line Los Angeles Intersections

Summary  

Beginning in March 2025 and continuing through June 2025, the design-builder will continue with D Line (Purple) civil restoration within and around the Wilshire Bl intersections at Western Av, La Brea Av, and Fairfax Av. This work will require full weekend closures of these intersections.

Where 

Intersections: Wilshire Bl and Western Av, Wilshire Bl and La Brea Av; Wilshire Bl and Fairfax Av 

Traffic Control 

  • Wilshire/Western 

    • Wilshire Bl intermittently reduced to one lane in each direction between St Andrews Pl and Western Av; Western Av intermittently reduced to one lane in each direction between 6th St and 7th St 
    • For one weekend in June (date TBD), the intersection will be fully closed. 

  • Wilshire/La Brea 

    • Wilshire Bl intermittently reduced to one lane in each direction between Highland Av and Cloverdale Av; La Brea Av intermittently reduced to one lane in each direction between 6th St and 8th St. 
    • For one weekend in June (date TBD), the intersection will be fully closed. 

  • Wilshire/Fairfax 

    • Wilshire Bl intermittently reduced to one lane in each direction between Spaulding Av and San Diego Way; Fairfax Av intermittently reduced to one lane in each direction between 6th St and 8th St. 
    • For one weekend in June (date TBD), the intersection will be fully closed. 

Work Hours 

  • Monday through Friday: 7am to 3:30pm 

  • Saturday through Sunday: 6am to 11pm 

  • Monday through Sunday: 9pm to 6am (overnight hours) 

  • June: Weekend closure to commence on Friday at 8pm and continue through Monday at 6am. 

Metro Access 

Metro bus stops may be relocated or lines could be impacted. For information on changes to Metro service, please call 323.GoMetro. 

Noteworthy 

  • All work has received necessary permits and approvals. 

  • Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of the construction zone. 

  • Access for emergency responders will be maintained.
