Constellation Bl Appendage Work Sidewalk Closure
 

Summary 

The contractor will be implementing a sidewalk closure along the north sidewalk of Constellation Bl from Avenue of the Stars up to the Westfield Mall ADA ramp to perform appendage construction. The construction zone for this sidewalk closure will end at the east side of the ADA ramp. Access to the ramp will be maintained just east of the crosswalk at Solar Way. Driveway access on Constellation Bl to the Westfield mall and 1999 Avenue of the Starts will remain open during work activity. The crosswalks at Avenue of the Stars/Constellation Bl and at Solar Way will remain open to maintain pedestrian detour access. This sidewalk will remain closed after the Phase 4 deck removal is completed on May 11, with an anticipated closure duration of six months.

Work Hours

  • Daytime Work Hours: 6AM-3PM 

Traffic Control

  • Constellation Bl north sidewalk closed from Avenue of the Stars to the Westfield Mall ADA ramp.   
  • Access to driveways for The Westfield Mall and 1999 AOS will be maintained during work activity. 
  • Pedestrian detour access will be maintained via the south side of Constellation Bl sidewalk, Avenue of the Stars crosswalk, and the Solar Way crosswalk.   
  • Temporary traffic control devices and detour signage will be in place to guide pedestrians safely around the work zone.  
  • Pedestrians are advised to follow all posted signage and use caution when traveling near the construction area. 

Noteworthy  

  • All work has received necessary permits and approvals. 
  • Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of the construction zone. 
  • Access for emergency responders will be maintained.
