Constellation Bl: Eastbound Closures

Summary 

Lane closures will be enforced on Constellation Bl and Avenue of the Stars for pile installation. Work will be done in two phases from August 3 to 20.

Phase 1 

• Monday, August 3 – Wednesday, August 5
• 9pm - 5am

Traffic Control

• Eastbound Constellation Bl will be closed between Solar Way and Avenue of the Stars.  
• Access to the Fairmont Hotel parking garage will be maintained from the west via Century Park West.  
• The south sidewalk on Constellation Bl between Solar Way and Avenue of the Stars will be closed. Pedestrians will be detoured around the work area using the designated temporary pedestrian route.  
• Flaggers will assist with pedestrian crossings and direct vehicular traffic safely during construction activities.  

• Thursday, August 6 – Thursday, August 20
• 9pm - 5am

• Eastbound Constellation Bl will be closed between the Fairmont Hotel driveway and Avenue of the Stars. 
• Southbound Avenue of the Stars will be closed from the south side crosswalk to the Fairmont Valet driveway on Avenue of the Stars. 
• Northbound Avenue of the Stars will remain open to the Fairmont Hotel driveway to maintain access to the hotel and adjacent properties.  
• A U-turn will be implemented for southbound traffic at the Avenue of the Stars and Constellation intersection for vehicles that need access to 1900 and 1800 Avenue of the Stars.  
• Temporary lane closures will be implemented on Constellation Bl and Avenue of the Stars to accommodate pile installation activities.  
• Flaggers will direct pedestrian crossings and vehicular traffic safely during construction activities.

• All work has received the necessary permits and approvals. 
• Access to driveways, residences & businesses will be maintained at all times unless notified in advance. 
• Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of construction zones. 
• Access for the Fire Department and emergency responders will be maintained. 
• Parking restrictions will be implemented in the immediate area of the work zone. 
• Construction is dynamic and schedules are subject to change.
