Cross Passage Concrete Pour and Overnight Lane Closures

Summary 

Crews will pour concrete for a cross passage connecting the two rail tunnels near the future Wilshire/La Cienega Station. The cross passage will provide critical access between the tunnels during future D Line operations and emergencies. 

The work will also include equipment and material deliveries, removal activities and utility maintenance.

• Wilshire Bl between Carson Rd and Willaman Dr 

Schedule

• Overnight work is scheduled from 8:15pm to 7am, August 17, 19, 21, and 25  

Traffic Impacts

• The middle lanes of Wilshire Bl will be closed within the construction area.  
• Two lanes will remain open in each direction.  
• Traffic will be shifted around the center work zone using temporary barriers and traffic-control devices.  
• The south side of Wilshire Bl between Willaman Dr and Carson Rd will be detoured during nighttime work.  
• Parking will be restricted near the work zone.  
• The bus stop near Willaman Dr may be temporarily relocated.  

What to Expect

• Access to driveways, homes and businesses will be maintained unless advance notice is provided.  
• Pedestrian access will be maintained outside the construction zone.  
• Emergency responders will have access at all times.
