Cross Passage Construction at Century Park West 

Summary 

Metro contractors will begin construction of the underground cross passage between tunnels beneath Century Park West. Work is anticipated to begin the week of March 17, 2025 and continue for up to twenty-four weeks. Activities will take place on Century Park West, between Santa Monica Blvd and Constellation Blvd. Construction activities include drilling and concrete pouring.  

There will be lane reductions on both sides of Century Park West, between Santa Monica Blvd and Constellation Blvd, along with a closure of the center meridian. All through traffic and local driveway access to surrounding properties will be maintained.   

Anticipated work hours include weekdays from 9 am to 3:30 pm and 9 pm to 6 am, as well as weekends from Fridays at 9 pm to Mondays at 6 am. 
 

Dates: Week of March 17, approximately 24 weeks 

Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 9 am to 3:30 pm and 9 pm to 6 am, Friday through Monday, 9 pm to 6 am. 
 

Century Park West 

Dates:  Week of March

  • Lane closures of both northbound and southbound #1 lanes 

  • Closure of center meridian 

  • Through traffic and local driveway access maintained
