El Camino/Wilshire: Sidewalk Restoration

Summary 

Crews are upgrading sidewalk ramps, curbs, and gutters at S El Camino Dr and Wilshire Bl (SE and SW corners). Activities include ramp demolition, concrete pouring, pedestrian footings, and sidewalk grading. Traffic flaggers will be on-site to help guide drivers safely around work zones.

Where: 

• S El Camino and Wilshire Bl 

When: 

• Monday, September 21, 2026 – Monday, October 5, 2026 

Work hours:  

• Daytime Work Hours: 9am-4pm  

Traffic Control: 

• Traffic control signs, cones/delineators, and tapers will guide motorists through the lane shifts.  
• Pedestrian detours will be in place to direct North-South and East-West sidewalk crossings. 

Noteworthy: 

• All work has or will receive the necessary permits and approvals. 
• Access to driveways, residences & businesses will be maintained at all times unless notified in advance. 
• Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of construction zones. 
• Access for the Fire Department and emergency responders will be maintained. 
• Parking restrictions will be implemented in the immediate area of the work zone. 
• Construction is dynamic and schedules are subject to change.
