Maintenance Hole Installation in Alley N of Santa Monica Bl

Summary

Metro contractors will install a new sewer maintenance hole in an alley north of Santa Monica Bl, between Comstock Av and Beverly Glen Bl in support of the Metro Purple Line Extension Section 3 project. Activities include excavation, removal of material, installation of a maintenance hole, and placement of asphalt. Work is anticipated to begin on Monday, May 19, 2025, and take place for approximately 8 weeks.

Date: Monday, May 19, 2025, for approximately 8 weeks

Work hours: 7 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, and 8 am to 5 pm, weekends

Traffic Control:

Full closure of alley north of Santa Monica Bl, between Comstock Av and Beverly Glen Bl. Access to impacted driveways and adjacent buildings will be coordinated with surrounding stakeholders.

Pedestrian and through access will be detoured to surrounding streets.

Noteworthy:

All work will receive necessary permits and approvals.

Access to driveways, residences, & businesses will always be maintained unless notified in advance.

Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of construction zones.

Access for the Fire Department and emergency responders will be maintained.

Parking restrictions will be implanted in the immediate area of the work zone.
