N Canon Dr Construction Work - Soundwall Removal

Summary 

The contractor will be removing the existing soundwall and shifting the cul-de-sac further north on N Canon Dr for restoration and reopening of the street. Construction includes the restoration of sidewalk, curb, gutter, street paving and restriping. This work will include the installation of temporary traffic control measures, relocation of the cul-de-sac using cones, and placement of K-rail barriers to separate the work zone from active roadways, while maintaining access to adjacent properties.

  • N Canon Dr between Wilshire Bl and Clifton Way. 

When  

  • Anticipated Start Date: Monday, January 12th  
  • Anticipated Duration: Early March 2026  

Work Hours  

  • Monday - Friday 9AM – 4PM 

Traffic Control: 

  • N Canon Dr will remain open with a shifted cul-de-sac during work activity. 
  • On-street parking on N Canon Dr will be restricted during work activity. 
  • Two parking spaces in front of Spago restaurant (176 N Canon Dr) will be restricted with "No Parking" signage during the duration of work activity.  
  • Sidewalks on the east and west sides of N Canon Dr will be closed in phases during work activity. 
  • Driveway and building access will be maintained during work activity. 
  • ​​​​​​​Pedestrian access will be maintained during work activity, with temporary detours and signage in place. 

Noteworthy: 

  • All work has or will receive the necessary permits and approvals. 
  • Access to driveways, residences & businesses will be maintained at all times unless notified in advance. 
  • Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of construction zones. 
  • Access for the Fire Department and emergency responders will be maintained. 
  • Parking restrictions will be implemented in the immediate area of the work zone.
