North Canon Sidewalk Closure

Summary

The contractor has completed potholing and piling activities in the area. However, work on the appendage structure remains ongoing, requiring an open excavation and continued sidewalk closure along Wilshire Blvd between N Canon Dr and Crescent Dr. Backfill operations are occurring during both daytime and nighttime shifts, but the sidewalk cannot reopen until backfill is complete and design plan drawings for sidewalk restoration are approved by the City of Beverly Hills. An additional construction notice will be issued once plans are approved and a restoration schedule is determined.

Work hours:

Daytime Activity Work Hours: 6am-6pm

Nighttime Work Activity Work Hours: 8:15pm-7pm

Traffic Control:

Eastbound and westbound Wilshire Blvd will be reduced to two lanes with curb lanes restricted.

The northern sidewalk on Wilshire Bl will be restricted in phases with pedestrian detours and access provided during the work activity.

Pedestrian detour will be in place to route pedestrians to utilize south side of Wilshire Bl using the crosswalks at N Canon Dr and Cresent Dr.

Local access will be maintained to AKA and Western Alliance Bank during work activity.

Noteworthy

All work will receive necessary permits and approvals from the City of Beverly Hills prior to the start of work.

An approved detour map will be published prior to the start of the first full closure.

Access for pedestrians, the Fire Dept, and emergencies will be maintained outside the construction zone.
