North Canon Sidewalk Closure

Summary 

The contractor will resume potholing and piling activity in order to progress with the development of appendage structures for the future station beginning Thursday April 10th.  In order to facilitate the development of the future station appendage structure, the contractor will need to restrict sidewalk access from N Canon Dr to Crescent Dr along Wilshire Bl during work activity. 

When 

Date: 

  • Anticipated start date: Thursday April 10th 

  • Anticipated Duration: Approximately 2 months 

Work hours:  

  • Potholing Activity Work Hours: 8am-6pm 

  • Piling Activity Work Hours: 8am-8pm   

Traffic Control: 

  • Eastbound and westbound Wilshire Bl will be reduced to two lanes with curb lanes restricted. 

  • The northern sidewalk on Wilshire Bl will be restricted in phases with pedestrian detours and access provided during the work activity.  

  • Pedestrian detour will be in place to route pedestrians to utilize south side of Wilshire Bl using the crosswalks at N Canon Dr and Crescent Dr.  

  • Local access will be maintained to AKA and Western Alliance Bank during work activity. 

Noteworthy 

  • All work will receive necessary permits and approvals from the City of Beverly Hills prior to the start of work. 

  • An approved detour map will be published prior to the start of the first full closure.  

  • Access for pedestrians, the Fire Dept, and emergencies will be maintained outside the construction zone.
