Sidewalk Closure to Support Appendage Work 

Summary 

The contractor will be implementing sidewalk closures on the south Wilshire Bl sidewalk between S Canon Dr & Beverly Dr to progress with the development of the future station appendage structures. The construction activity that will be taking place behind Krail includes an open excavation to facilitate structural development below grade. This area will be secured with an 8-foot-high fence panel enclosure to ensure safety and site control. 

When: 

  • Anticipated Start Date: October 7  

  • Anticipated Duration: 4 Months 

Work Hours:  

  • Work Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-4pm, 8:15pm-7am 

Traffic Control

  • Eastbound Wilshire Bl will be reduced to one lane during nighttime hours. 

  • The southern sidewalk on Wilshire Bl will be restricted in phases with pedestrian detours and access provided during the work activity. 

  • Pedestrians on the south side sidewalk will be detoured around the closure. 

  • During construction, customer entry to Rolex Beverly Hills (9420 Wilshire Bl) and Bank of America (9454 Wilshire Bl) will be available through the front and the rear of the building. 

  • A portion of the sidewalk will remain fully enclosed with fencing and signage for pedestrian detour and safety. 

  • Local vehicle access will be maintained during work activity.  


Noteworthy: 

  • All work has or will receive the necessary permits and approvals. 

  • Access to driveways, residences & businesses will be maintained at all times unless notified in advance. 

  • Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of construction zones. 

  • Access for the Fire Department and emergency responders will be maintained 

  • Parking restrictions will be implemented in the immediate area of the work zone.
